I am a potter.
I have been working with clay for over 20 years. I love making
things with my hands. No two pieces are ever alike. I
always make my next piece better than the one I did before.
My specialty in the
world of pottery is the "Woman's Face." I love the structure,
shape and look. I case a face, put it into clay and build a
world around the face. I make vases, bowls and wall-hangings
incorporated with the faces of actual people
My work has been seen
across the country, from Florida to California. My work has been
featured by the Highlands County Art League and at the Allen C.
Alvater Art Museum. My art work was also on display at the
African American Women's Convention in San Diego, CA. It
was also featured at the Exotic African Fashion Show and at the
Celebrity Panel, where Rap Diva Queen Latifah, television stars Joe
Marie Payton (Family Matters) and Dawn Lewis (A Different World,
Hangin' With Mr. Cooper) Admired my talent. Phyllis Yvonne
Stinkney (New Jack City, The Woman of Brewster's Place) purchased two
of my designs. Geri Warren, editor of Voice & View Point News,
saw an article about my work and was so impressed, she invited me to
attend the AAW Convention. It was an experience I will never
forget.
I do customized work
for all occasions, let me immortalize your precious moment for a
lifetime. |
